Dynon Oshkosh Anniversary Photo Challenge 2022

Take pictures of cool airplanes, panels, and anniversary-themed items. Win Dynon prizes!


This year we’re celebrating a number of aviation anniversaries, including Van’s 50th, Zenith’s 30th, the Bonanza’s 75th, and the 20th anniversary of the first Advanced AF-2002 engine monitor. Join us in an anniversary-themed photo scavenger hunt during AirVenture. In short, find the things below at Oshkosh. Take pictures of them. Thousands of dollars of Dynon prizes are up for grabs!



How to Play

  1. From Monday-Saturday during AirVenture, take pictures of the Anniversary Photo Challenge Items below.
  2. Post them to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
  3. You must tag us at @dynonavionics (Facebook/Instagram entries) or @dynon (Twitter entries) on each entry.
  4. You must include #DynonOsh22 in each entry.
  5. Points are awarded for each Challenge Item photographed.
  6. Dynon judges will keep track of submissions and keep score throughout the week.
  7. Prizes will be awarded the week of August 1st.

The Prizes

  • First Place - Highest Challenge Point Total: Certificate for $1,000 of Dynon/Advanced Products
  • Second Place - 2nd Highest Challenge Point total: Certificate for $750 of Dynon/Advanced Products
  • Third Place - 3rd Highest Challenge Point total: Certificate for $500 of Dynon/Advanced Products
  • Best Photograph, as judged by Dynon: Certificate for $250 of Dynon/Advanced Products
  • Wildcard - A random entry will be selected from all valid photo submissions: Certificate for $250 of Dynon/Advanced Products



Anniversary Photo Challenge Items

One Challenge point is given for each of the following items. Each entrant can earn up to one base Challenge Point per item below. A Bonus Challenge point is awarded if you take a picture of the whole aircraft and include it in the SAME POST.

Be respectful of aircraft. DO NOT touch aircraft that you do not have permission to.


  1. A picture of the new AF-6600 display in the wild, but not in our own booth or airplanes (it DEFINITELY exists).
  2. A picture of the original AF-2002 or AF-2500 in an aircraft at Oshkosh (Hint: it has no model name on the bezel).
  3. A picture of the VERY FIRST Van’s RV.
  4. A picture of the latest prototype Van’s RV.
  5. A single post with at least 4 different models of the following production Van’s Aircraft in it (you can use multi-picture post if they are not all in one shot).

  6. A single post with at least 3 different models of the following production Zenith Aircraft in it (use multi-picture post).

  1. A picture of a SkyView or AFS panel in a Van’s aircraft (not in our exhibit).
  2. A picture of a SkyView or AFS panel in a Zenith aircraft (not in our exhibit).
  3. A picture of a Commemorative 75th Anniversary Beech Bonanza at Oshkosh.
  4. A picture of a 75 year old Beech Bonanza at Oshkosh - aka - an original year model (as evidenced by the data plate).
  5. A picture of a Dynon Certified panel in a Beech Bonanza (not in our exhibit).
  6. A picture of a panel equipped with first generation Dynon D10/D100 series products.
  7. A picture of someone wearing a vintage logo Dynon hat (Hint: It has the full “DYNON AVIONICS” company name in the logo).
  8. A selfie with a Dynon Employee in the wild at Oshkosh, but not at our exhibit.
  9. A selfie of you wearing a Dynon Hat. They’re free. But, you have to visit the booth early to get one. We usually run out quickly.

Wildcard Entries / Tiebreaker

Take as many pictures of these at Oshkosh as you can. Points for clear pictures of panels only.

  1. Pictures of Dynon Certified Panels in the wild (not in the Dynon booth)
  2. Pictures of E-AB or LSA aircraft panels equipped with Dynon SkyView avionics (not in the Dynon booth)
  3. Pictures of E-AB or LSA panels equipped with Advanced Flight Systems avionics (not in the Dynon booth)
